Begin the Relationship
God loves you and created you to know him personally.  The Bible says that God has set eternity in the hearts of men.  We can never be completely satisfied with earthly pleasures and pursuits. Because we are created in God's image, nothing but the eternal God can truly satisfy us. He has built in us a restless yearning for a relationship with Him.  

God, you have made us for yourself,
and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in you.
(Augustine of Hippo - 4th Century)

God took an astonishing risk when he gave us the freedom to choose.  And it seems to have backfired many times.  What we human beings have done throughout history to wound each other and insult the goodness of God has caused him endless grief.  But from the moment Adam & Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, God has been on a mission to win us back.

Our mission, as a church, is to help seekers become fully devoted followers of God.  We provide opportunities to learn, grow and serve in a community of faith.  The first step is to begin a relationship with Him.  Open his book, the Bible, and learn about God for yourself.  Attend worship services regularly.  Get involved in one of the Bible classes we offer.  Pray.  Joining a community of believers who can encourage you and help you learn and grow is a great way to start.

When you open the door and begin to seek Him, you will be amazed at how willing he is to be found.  When the time is right, you will want to talk with someone you trust who can help you make a commitment to him.  You may hear it referred to as “becoming a Christian” or “being born again” or “inviting Jesus into your heart”.  These all refer to a step of faith where you make the decision to give your heart and life to God.  There are plenty of folks in this church family who would be happy to help you Connect With God in a real and personal way.
